The #1 thing that almost everybody thinks of when they hear Lake Havasu is a huge crowd of wild and crazy college kids partying on the lake. While this of course does go on, Lake Havasu has so much more to offer.
The London Bridge

At first glance you might think that it’s just a cute name for marketing purposes for the city but this is actually the real London Bridge that stood in London for hundreds of years. Robert P. McCulloch, Sr. one of the founder of Havasu city purchased the bridge for 2.4 million in 1967 in an effort to draw attention to the new city. It took a few years to transport and assemble the bridge but it stands today as a tourist attraction that has brought millions of people to the city over the last 50 years.
Beautiful Beaches

I know this one might sound strange, but I guess the London Bridge did too. You might think that you can only be at the beach if you are at the ocean, but the city of Havasu has plenty of great lake side beaches. With miles and miles of shoreline to enjoy, there are plenty of fun activities for the whole family.
World Class Golf

I’ve played golf sense I was a young child and have grown to love the game. I knew I was in for a treat when moving here because Havasu has some of the best golf courses in Arizona. The weather is warm all year and there are plenty of 9 and 18 hole options for beginners and more advanced players looking for a challenge.
ASU@Lake Havasu

This was actually the main reason I came to the city Havasu. As a Data Science major I was drawn to transfer to ASU for their great reputation. If I’m being 100% honest the parties were a ton of fun but did take a toll on my focus which over time effected my GPA. Thankfully after a strong recommendation from a good friend I found a great option for ASU Tutoring at Buffalo Academy. I even decided to join there ERM academy option which gave me a great advantage in getting hired as a data science professional.
All in all, the city of Havasu is a great place to visit or make your full time residence, if you like it warm.
